About this SWP calculator SBI page
Independent calculator: this page is not run by, affiliated with or endorsed by SBI Mutual Fund or State Bank of India. It uses a transparent month-by-month formula so you can check an SWP plan yourself. For scheme-specific rules — minimum SWP amount, available dates, exit loads — read the scheme information document or ask the fund house.
Planning an SWP in an SBI MF scheme
SBI Mutual Fund is one of India’s largest fund houses, with debt, hybrid and equity schemes. Whichever scheme you hold, an SWP works the same way: units are redeemed on your chosen date and the money is paid to your bank account. Use the calculator above with a return that fits the scheme type — lower for debt, higher for hybrid and equity — and check the result against a lower return too.
How to start an SWP
- Invest a lump sum in a mutual fund scheme, or build a corpus with a SIP.
- Submit an SWP request through the fund house’s website or app, an investment platform, your distributor or the registrar.
- Choose the amount, the frequency (usually monthly or quarterly), the date and the start month. Payments go to your registered bank account.
- Review the plan once a year — after a strong or weak year for markets, the right withdrawal may change.
Checklist before you start
- Confirm the minimum SWP amount and the dates the scheme allows.
- Check the exit load period: early withdrawals may be charged.
- Choose the growth option, not IDCW, so returns stay invested between withdrawals.
- Make sure your bank account and KYC details on the folio are up to date.
