How the love calculator by date of birth works
Each date of birth gives two things:
- A zodiac sign, and with it an element: fire, earth, air or water.
- A life path number from numerology: add every digit of the date until one digit is left. For example, 14 March 1998 → 1+9+9+8+0+3+1+4 = 35 → 3+5 = 8.
The love calculator by date of birth scores how well the two elements go together and how well the two life path numbers match, then averages the two into one love percentage.
Zodiac element compatibility
| Element | Signs | Best matched with |
|---|---|---|
| Fire | Aries, Leo, Sagittarius | Fire and Air |
| Earth | Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn | Earth and Water |
| Air | Gemini, Libra, Aquarius | Air and Fire |
| Water | Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces | Water and Earth |
Same-element pairs and friendly-element pairs (fire with air, earth with water) score highest. Opposite signs, such as Taurus and Scorpio, get a small bonus.
Life path number matches
In numerology some life path numbers are called natural matches. When your two numbers are a natural match, the birthday score rises; the same number twice scores well too, because you understand each other easily.
| Life path | Natural matches |
|---|---|
| 1 | 3, 5, 6 |
| 2 | 4, 6, 8, 9 |
| 3 | 1, 5, 6, 9 |
| 4 | 2, 7, 8 |
| 5 | 1, 3, 7 |
| 6 | 1, 2, 3, 9 |
| 7 | 4, 5 |
| 8 | 2, 4, 6 |
| 9 | 2, 3, 6 |
Birthdays, astrology and real life
Astrology and numerology are traditions, not science: studies have not found that star signs predict who falls in love or stays together. Still, many people love comparing signs, and a love calculator by date of birth is a fun way to do it. Your result also shows how many days apart you were born — a small fact that couples often enjoy.
