Is there a “real” love calculator?
Every love calculator is a game, but some are more honest than others. A real love calculator should do three things: use a fixed rule (so the same names always give the same answer), show its working (so you can check it), and be clear that it is for fun. This page does all three, and lets you compare three classic methods on the same names.
Compare three love tests
- By name (LOVES): counts the letters of “name LOVES name”.
- True love: counts the letters of “name TRUE LOVE name”.
- FLAMES: crosses out shared letters and counts round F-L-A-M-E-S.
Switch between the tabs without retyping. If all three tests give a high score — or FLAMES lands on Love or Marriage — that is as close to a real love calculator verdict as letters can get.

What real love depends on
Decades of research on couples point to a few habits that predict lasting relationships far better than any score: turning towards each other when one asks for attention, staying kind in arguments, repairing quickly after a fight, sharing everyday appreciation, and building a life with goals you both care about. A real love calculator can’t measure those — but you can, every day.
