How a FLAMES answer becomes a percentage
Classic FLAMES stops at a word. To give a FLAMES love calculator percentage, this page combines two things from the same names:
- A fixed value for the FLAMES word: Love 96, Marriage 92, Affection 82, Friends 66, Siblings 48 and Enemies 24.
- The LOVES name score from the letters of the two names.
The FLAMES percentage is the average of the two, rounded to a whole number. So two pairs who both get “Love” can still have different percentages, because their names count differently.
Why Love scores higher than Marriage
In the FLAMES game, Love is the answer people cheer for most, so it carries the highest value. Marriage is close behind — many players count it as the best answer of all, and the two are only four points apart. Enemies scores lowest, but even an Enemies pair can reach 50% or more if their names score well.
Typical FLAMES percentages
- Love or Marriage: usually 70–98%.
- Affection: usually 65–90%.
- Friends: usually 55–82%.
- Siblings: usually 45–74%.
- Enemies: usually 35–61%.
Make the FLAMES percentage your own
Some groups play with their own values — for example scoring Friends higher because “friends first” is a good start. The calculator always uses the values above so everyone gets the same answer, but you can change the rules among friends. For the pure FLAMES chart without percentages, see the FLAMES Love Calculator.
