An independent HDFC SWP calculator
Independent calculator: this page is not run by, affiliated with or endorsed by HDFC Mutual Fund or HDFC Bank. It uses a transparent month-by-month formula so you can check an SWP plan yourself. For scheme-specific rules — minimum SWP amount, available dates, exit loads — read the scheme information document or ask the fund house.
From SIP to SWP
If you have been investing through SIPs, the natural next step is an SWP from the same folio or a steadier scheme. Choose SIP + SWP to see the corpus your SIP is expected to build and the withdrawals it can support afterwards, or SWP only to start from today’s folio value.
| Monthly SIP (15 yrs, 12%) | Corpus built | Max SWP for 20 yrs at 8% |
|---|---|---|
| ₹5,000 | ₹25,22,880 | ₹20,963 |
| ₹10,000 | ₹50,45,760 | ₹41,925 |
| ₹15,000 | ₹75,68,640 | ₹62,888 |
| ₹25,000 | ₹1,26,14,400 | ₹1,04,813 |
| ₹50,000 | ₹2,52,28,800 | ₹2,09,626 |
How to start an SWP
- Invest a lump sum in a mutual fund scheme, or build a corpus with a SIP.
- Submit an SWP request through the fund house’s website or app, an investment platform, your distributor or the registrar.
- Choose the amount, the frequency (usually monthly or quarterly), the date and the start month. Payments go to your registered bank account.
- Review the plan once a year — after a strong or weak year for markets, the right withdrawal may change.
Why the formula matters
Calculators on different websites can differ because of timing assumptions. This one takes each withdrawal at the start of the month and grows the rest at annual return ÷ 12 — the method is printed under every result. If you compare with another tool and see a small difference, that is the most likely reason.
